The Golf Club Co didn't start as a retail store or fitting centre. It started with one frustrating experience, one golf club — and the thought that there had to be a better way.

WHERE IT STARTED

IT STARTED WITH
A BAD EXPERIENCE.

Before The Golf Club Co existed, I walked into a golf retailer looking for a simple part so I could extend one of my clubs.

I wasn't asking for anything complicated. I was quoted $45 for the extension alone — with labour to be worked out when I picked the club up — and told I'd need to leave the club there for at least a week.

What stuck with me wasn't just the price or the wait. It was the experience.

I walked out thinking there had to be a better way.

A simple club extension shouldn't mean losing your club for a week. And getting work done on your golf clubs shouldn't leave you feeling like you're an inconvenience.

I was already working on my own clubs, and doing jobs for friends, when one experience changed the direction of everything.

I walked away thinking, if I'm being spoken to and treated like that, how are other golfers being treated?

So I decided to start advertising my services. What happened next showed me there was a much bigger need than I expected. The work grew — and it grew fast.

Again and again, customers mentioned the same things: the speed, the price, and the service. They appreciated being able to have a conversation, ask questions and deal with someone who genuinely had time for them — without feeling brushed off or like the interaction was simply about making a sale.

That became the foundation of The Golf Club Co.

What began at a workbench has grown into a full-time specialist golf club workshop in Dianella, Perth — purpose-equipped for professional club building, measurement, adjustment and repair.

I've invested in specialist equipment because if I'm going to work on somebody else's clubs, I want to do the job properly.

TGCC is a club-building workshop — not a fitting centre. I build, measure, adjust and repair clubs to specification, while golfers who need professional equipment fitting are directed to specialist PGA professionals.
